Profile.

Raymond Lee Peltier is a native of Evansville, Indiana and spent most of his youth in a small community called Linton, Indiana. He graduated from Linton Stockton High School in 1971 and enlisted in the United States Air Force the same year. Raymond earned his degree as a Paralegal and retired from the Air Force in July 1993 as a Law Office Manager. Raymond states that his life experiences inspired him to become a songwriter.

If there's one thing that Raymond understands, it's the transforming work of Christ. One to whom grace abounds, he is a testimony of the new life that is given to the sinner who repents and to the prodigal who returns. "I was a dead man walking," he says of his life before Christ. Now Raymond is a new creation, empowered to bring a message of hope, renewal, and faith through the writing of songs God has given him to share with the world.

My body is gone but I'm always near.

Once upon a time I said "I Do"
To the one I'd spend my life with that was you
And in all the years gone by
We've laughed and sometimes cried
And our everlasting love stayed strong and true

Hard times came and went along the way
We worked out all the problems day by day
For better or for worst
Both a blessing and a curse
Our everlasting love is here to stay

Freedom is a song we sing
A tune we all know well;
We have many rights and liberties
That some would willingly sell.

Freedom is a law we pass
A law to protest mankind;
It’s a policeman, a politician or a judge
It’s a lawyer with a loophole to find.

Freedom is a place in time
It’s like an early morning frost;
It’s a rules gift, it’s a slaves desire
It can’t be won or lost.
