Merciful God, we pray for all the healers, 
for those whom thou hast given skill in surgery and 
medicine, we pray, asking that they may be wise, 
strong and tender and greatly used in curing disease.

For the Nurses we ask a high view of their calling, 
and patience and grace as assist effectively in 
restoring to health and cheerfulness in affliction.

For those who deal with mental illness, we pray 
that thy spirit may enlighten them with insight 
and power to bring peace to troubled minds.

For all those whom thou has given gifts of healing, 
we ask that thy power and love may come forth
into the bodies thou hast chosen.

Divine and Heavenly father
Our love goes out to you tonight
Asking you shed your holy light
Upon us in our hours of sleep
I pray dear lord our soul you keep.

Be with us when we awake
While our breakfast we partake
We thank you for all you do
And being with us all day through

Our daily work we will perform
In humble service to you alone
Our deeds will show our love for thee
May they true and gentle be.

spreading your word night and day
The heavenly trumpets sound

Father, I ask You to bless all those who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace.. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name.

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the idiot who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother, who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the washing and spend a few precious moments with her children. Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't get the correct change is a worried 19 year old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next term. Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking tramp, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worse nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the supermarket aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savouring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last time they will go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear.  Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy, and love. Amen.

I understand that life in Iraq is very difficult to bear right now. Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance and safety.
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."  When you read this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for all troops around the world.

Please could you send out prayers for my son, he had to leave University in his 4th year before he could graduate due to financial problems, and now feels a failure, I try to assure him that he is not, but he is very depressed and doesn't want to do anything but stay in his room all day. Please help him and all students who are suffering in this way.
